I'm Elizabeth, I’m a journalist, content strategist and audience growth driver. I specialize in newsroom innovation, journalism products, publisher marketing campaigns, publisher revenue, audience engagement, reader habituation and user-centered news experiences that stretch across various teams, folding in product, data, marketing, editorial, design, sales, partnerships, events and beyond.
A love of journalism (both the people that produce it and the audiences that consume it) is at the heart of everything I do. I apply strategic thinking to big problems, like developing sustainable news business models, repairing broken reader trust, improving transparency, serving communities in need and engaging fickle, impatient, skeptical audiences. I'm a hands-on collaborator; I love working through the chaos of an industry in constant flux.
I think a lot about the future of journalism, and how important stories can cut through the noise, stand a chance at survival and have a lasting impact. I write, too — you can read my stuff in The Trace, HuffPost, Roads and Kingdoms, National Post and Narratively, among others.
